THE DAILY CROSS
Luke 9:23
And he said to them all, If
any man will come after me,
let him deny himself, and take
up his cross daily, and follow
me.
Luke 14:27
And whosoever doth not bear
his cross, and come after me,
cannot be my disciple.
John 5:19, 30
19 Then answered Jesus and
said unto them, Verily,
verily, I say unto
you, The Son can do nothing of
himself, but what he seeth the
Father do…
30 I can of mine own self do
nothing…
Romans 12:1
I beseech you therefore,
brethren, by the mercies of
God, that ye
present your bodies a living
sacrifice, holy, acceptable
unto God,
which is your reasonable
service.
Galatians 2:20
I am crucified with Christ:
nevertheless I live; yet not
I, but Christ
liveth in me: and the life
which I now live in the flesh
I live by the
faith of the Son of God, who
loved me, and gave himself for
me.
THE HOLY SPIRIT OUR
GUIDE
John 14:16-17
16 And I will pray the Father,
and he shall give you another
Comforter, that he may abide
with you forever;
17 Even the Spirit of truth;
whom the world cannot receive,
because it
seeth him not, neither knoweth
him: but ye know him; for he
dwelleth
with you, and shall be in you.
John 16:13-15
13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit
of truth, is come, he will
guide you
into all truth: for he shall
not speak of himself; but
whatsoever he
shall hear, that shall he
speak: and he will shew you
things to come.
14 He shall glorify me: for he
shall receive of mine, and
shall shew it
unto you.
15 All things that the Father
hath are mine: therefore said
I, that he shall take of mine,
and shall shew it unto you.
John 16:14-15
14 He will honor and glorify
Me, because He will take of
(receive, draw upon) what is
Mine and will reveal (declare,
disclose, transmit) it to you.
15 Everything that the Father
has is Mine. That is what I
meant when I said that He will
take the things that are Mine
and will reveal (declare,
disclose, transmit) it to you.
John 7:37-39
37 In the last day, that great
day of the feast, Jesus stood
and cried,
saying, If any man thirst, let
him come unto me, and drink.
38 He that believeth on me, as
the scripture hath said, out
of his belly shall flow rivers
of
living water.
39 (But this spake he of the
Spirit, which they that
believe on him should receive:
for the
Holy Ghost was not yet given;
because that Jesus was not yet
glorified.)
Ephesians 4:30 (Is 63:10 vexed
the Holy Spirit; Acts 7:51
resist the Holy Spirit)
And grieve not the holy Spirit
of God, whereby ye are sealed
unto the day of redemption.
Acts 15:28
For it seemed good to the Holy
Ghost, and to us, to lay upon
you no greater burden than
these necessary things;
howbeit in the spirit he
speaketh mysteries
1 Corinthians 14:2 (KJV)
2 For he that speaketh in an
unknown tongue speaketh not
unto men, but
unto God: for no man
understandeth him; howbeit in
the spirit he
speaketh mysteries.

we may obtain mercy, and find
grace to help in time of need.

neither will your Father which
is in heaven forgive your
trespasses.

thou hast gained thy brother.

JESUS OUR DOORWAY
Matthew 6:6
But thou, when thou prayest,
enter into thy closet (inner

when
thou hast shut thy door, pray
to thy Father which is in
secret; and thy Father which
seeth in secret shall reward
thee openly.

way, the truth, and the life:
no man cometh unto the Father,
but by me.

2 But he that entereth in by
the door is the shepherd of
the sheep.
3 To him the porter openeth;
and the sheep hear his voice:
and he calleth his own sheep
by name, and leadeth them out.
4 And when he putteth forth
his own sheep, he goeth before
them, and the sheep follow
him: for they know his voice.
9 I am the door: by me if any
man enter in, he shall be
saved, and shall go in and
out, and
find pasture.
10 The thief cometh not, but
for to steal, and to kill, and
to destroy: I am come that

Exodus 15:1-6
1 Then sang Moses and the
children of Israel this song

and spake, saying, I will sing

triumphed
gloriously: the horse and his

2 The LORD is my strength and

1 And the LORD spake unto
Moses, saying,
2 Send thou men, that they may
search the land of Canaan,
which I give
unto the children of Israel:
of every tribe of their
fathers shall ye
send a man, everyone a ruler
among them.
3 And Moses by the commandment
of the LORD sent them from the
wilderness of Paran: all those
men were heads of the children
of Israel.
22 And they ascended by the
south, and came unto Hebron;
where Ahiman, Sheshai, and
Talmai, the children of Anak,
were. (Now Hebron was built
seven years before Zoan in
Egypt.)
23 And they came unto the
brook of Eshcol, and cut down
from thence a
branch with one cluster of
grapes, and they bare it
between two upon a
staff; and they brought of the
pomegranates, and of the figs.
27 And they told him, and
said, We came unto the land
whither thou
sentest us, and surely it
floweth with milk and honey;
and this is the
fruit of it.

for they are stronger than we.

through which
we have gone to search it, is
a land that eateth up the

33 And there we saw the

would God we had died in this
wilderness!
3 And wherefore hath the LORD
brought us unto this land, to
fall by the
sword, that our wives and our
children should be a prey?
were it not
better for us to return into
Egypt?
4 And they said one to
another, Let us make a

Numbers 14:7-10, 20-24
7 And they spake unto all the

8 If the LORD delight in us,
then he will bring us into
this land, and give it us; a
land which floweth with milk
and honey.
9 Only rebel not ye against
the LORD, neither fear ye the
people of the land; for they
are bread for us: their
defence is
departed from them, and the

bade stone them with stones.
And the glory
of the LORD appeared in the

before all
the children of Israel.

Mark 1:9-15
9 And it came to pass in those
days, that Jesus came from
Nazareth of Galilee, and was
baptized of John in Jordan.
10 And straightway coming up
out of the water, he saw the
heavens opened, and the Spirit
like a dove descending upon
him:
11 And there came a voice from
heaven, saying, Thou art my
beloved Son, in whom I am well
pleased.
12 And immediately the Spirit
driveth him into the
wilderness.
13 And he was there in the
wilderness forty days, tempted
of Satan; and
was with the wild beasts; and
the angels ministered unto

14 Now after that John was put
in prison, Jesus came into
Galilee, preaching the gospel
of the kingdom of God,
15 And saying, The time is
fulfilled, and the kingdom of
God is at hand: repent ye, and
believe the gospel.
Mark 11:22-26
22 And Jesus answering saith
unto them, Have faith in God.

be thou cast into the sea; and

doubt in his heart, but shall
believe that those things
which he saith
shall come to pass; he shall

24 Therefore I say unto you,
What things soever ye desire,
when ye pray, believe that ye

25 And when ye stand praying,

2 The LORD is my strength and

Genesis 12:1-4
1 Now the LORD had said unto
Abram, Get thee out of thy
country, and
from thy kindred, and from thy
father's house, unto a land
that I will
shew thee:
2 And I will make of thee a
great nation, and I will bless
thee, and make thy name great;
and thou shalt be a blessing:
3 And I will bless them that
bless thee, and curse him that
curseth
thee: and in thee shall all
families of the earth be
blessed.
4 So Abram departed, as the
LORD had spoken unto him; and
Lot went with
him: and Abram was seventy and
five years old when he
departed out of
Haran.
Genesis 13:16
And I will make thy seed as
the dust of the earth: so that
if a man can

then shall thy seed also be
numbered.
Genesis 15:1-5
1 After these things the word
of the LORD came unto Abram in
a vision,
saying, Fear not, Abram: I am
thy shield, and thy exceeding
great
reward.
2 And Abram said, Lord GOD,
what wilt thou give me, seeing
I go
childless, and the steward of
my house is this Eliezer of
Damascus?
3 And Abram said, Behold, to
me thou hast given no seed:
and, lo, one born in my house
is mine heir.
4 And, behold, the word of the
LORD came unto him, saying,
This shall
not be thine heir; but he that
shall come forth out of thine
own bowels
shall be thine heir.
5 And he brought him forth
abroad, and said, Look now
toward heaven,
and tell the stars, if thou be
able to number them: and he
said unto
him, So shall thy seed be.
Genesis 16:2-4
2 And Sarai said unto Abram,
Behold now, the LORD hath
restrained me
from bearing: I pray thee, go
in unto my maid; it may be
that I may
obtain children by her. And
Abram hearkened to the voice
of Sarai.
3 And Sarai Abram's wife took
Hagar her maid the Egyptian,
after Abram
had dwelt ten years in the
land of Canaan, and gave her
to her husband
Abram to be his wife.
4 And he went in unto Hagar,
and she conceived: and when
she saw that she had
conceived, her mistress was
despised in her eyes.
Genesis 17:1-6
1 And when Abram was ninety
years old and nine, the LORD
appeared to
Abram, and said unto him, I am
the Almighty God; walk before
me, and be
thou perfect.
2 And I will make my covenant
between me and thee, and will
multiply thee exceedingly.
3 And Abram fell on his face:
and God talked with him,
saying,
4 As for me, behold, my
covenant is with thee, and
thou shalt be a father of many
nations.
5 Neither shall thy name any
more be called Abram, but thy
name shall be Abraham; for a
father of many nations have I
made thee.
6 And I will make thee
exceeding fruitful, and I will
make nations of thee, and
kings shall come out of thee.
Romans 4:17-21
17 (As it is written, I have
made thee a father of many
nations,)
before him whom he believed,
even God, who quickeneth the
dead, and
calleth those things which be
not as though they were.
18 Who against hope believed
in hope, that he might become
the father
of many nations, according to
that which was spoken, So
shall thy seed
be.
19 And being not weak in
faith, he considered not his
own body now
dead, when he was about an
hundred years old, neither yet
the deadness
of Sara's womb:
20 He staggered not at the
promise of God through
unbelief; but was strong in
faith, giving glory to God;
21 And being fully persuaded
that, what he had promised, he
was able also to perform.
Genesis 17:15-21
15 And God said unto Abraham,
As for Sarai thy wife, thou
shalt not call her name Sarai,
but Sarah shall her name be.
16 And I will bless her, and
give thee a son also of her:
yea, I will
bless her, and she shall be a
mother of nations; kings of
people shall
be of her.
17 Then Abraham fell upon his
face, and laughed, and said in
his heart,
Shall a child be born unto him
that is an hundred years old?
and shall
Sarah, that is ninety years
old, bear?
18 And Abraham said unto God,
O that Ishmael might live
before thee!
19 And God said, Sarah thy
wife shall bear thee a son
indeed; and thou
shalt call his name Isaac: and
I will establish my covenant
with him
for an everlasting covenant,
and with his seed after him.
20 And as for Ishmael, I have
heard thee: Behold, I have
blessed him,
and will make him fruitful,
and will multiply him
exceedingly; twelve
princes shall he beget, and I
will make him a great nation.
21 But my covenant will I
establish with Isaac, which
Sarah shall bear unto thee at
this set time in the next
year.
Genesis 18:10-15
10 And he said, I will
certainly return unto thee
according to the time
of life; and, lo, Sarah thy
wife shall have a son. And
Sarah heard it
in the tent door, which was
behind him.
11 Now Abraham and Sarah were
old and well stricken in age;
and it ceased to be with Sarah
after the manner of women.
12 Therefore Sarah laughed
within herself, saying, After
I am waxed old shall I have
pleasure, my lord being old
also?

And to seeds, as of many; but

and in Ashdod, there remained.
23 So Joshua took the whole

Israel.
4 David was thirty years old
when he began to reign, and he
reigned forty years.
5 In Hebron he reigned over
Judah seven years and six
months: and in
Jerusalem he reigned thirty
and three years over all
Israel and Judah.
1 Chronicles 12:23-38
23 And these are the numbers
of the bands that were ready
armed to the
war, and came to David to
Hebron, to turn the kingdom of
Saul to him,
according to the word of the
LORD.
24 The children of Judah that
bare shield and spear were six
thousand and eight hundred
(6,800), ready armed to the
war.
25 Of the children of Simeon,
mighty men of valour for the
war, seven thousand and one
hundred. (7,100)
26 Of the children of Levi
four thousand and six hundred.
(4,600)
27 And Jehoiada was the leader
of the Aaronites, and with him
were three thousand and seven
hundred; (3700)
28 And Zadok, a young man
mighty of valour, and of his
father's house twenty and two
captains. (22 Captains)
29 And of the children of
Benjamin, the kindred of Saul,

thousand: (3000) for hitherto
the greatest part of them had
kept the
ward of the house of Saul.
30 And of the children of
Ephraim twenty thousand and
eight hundred,
(20,800) mighty men of valour,
famous throughout the house of
their
fathers.
31 And of the half tribe of
Manasseh eighteen thousand,
(18,000) which were expressed
by name, to come and make
David king.
32 And of the children of
Issachar, which were men that
had
understanding of the times, to
know what Israel ought to do;
the heads
of them were two hundred;
(200) and all their brethren
were at their
commandment.
33 Of Zebulun, such as went
forth to battle, expert in
war, with all
instruments of war, fifty
thousand, which could keep
rank: they were
not of double heart. (50,000)
34 And of Naphtali a thousand
captains, (1000 captains) and
with them with shield and
spear thirty and seven
thousand. (37,000)
35 And of the Danites expert

36 And of Asher, such as went
forth to battle, expert in

37 And on the other side of
Jordan, of the Reubenites, and
the Gadites,
and of the half tribe of
Manasseh, with all manner of
instruments of
war for the battle, an hundred
and twenty thousand. (120,000)
38 All these men of war, that
could keep rank, came with a
perfect
heart to Hebron, to make David
king over all Israel: and all
the rest
also of Israel were of one
heart to make David king.
348,800 men, and
upwards.
1 Chronicles 29:27-28
27 And the time that he
reigned over Israel was forty
years; seven
years reigned he in Hebron,
and thirty and three years
reigned he in
Jerusalem.
28 And he died in a good old

The Word of the
Kingdom
Mark 4:10-15
10 And when he was alone, they
that were about him with the
twelve asked of him the
parable.
11 And he said unto them, Unto
you it is given to know the
mystery of
the kingdom of God: but unto
them that are without, all
these things
are done in parables:
12 That seeing they may see,
and not perceive; and hearing
they may
hear, and not understand; lest
at any time they should be
converted,
and their sins should be
forgiven them.
13 And he said unto them, Know
ye not this parable? and how
then will ye know all
parables?
14 The sower soweth the word.
15 And these are they by the
way side, where the word is
sown; but when
they have heard, Satan cometh
immediately, and taketh away
the word
that was sown in their hearts.
Luke 8:11 Now the parable is
this: The seed is the word of
God.
Matthew 13:19 When any one

Mark 4:16-19
16 And these are they likewise
which are sown on stony
ground; who,
when they have heard the word,
immediately receive it with
gladness;
17 And have no root in
themselves, and so endure but
for a time: afterward, when
affliction or persecution
ariseth for the word's sake,
immediately they are offended.
18 And these are they which
are sown among thorns; such as
hear the word,
19 And the cares of this
world, and the deceitfulness
of riches, and
the lusts of other things
entering in, choke the word,
and it becometh
unfruitful.
GOOD GROUND
Matthew 13:23
But he that received seed into
the good ground is he that
heareth the
word, and understandeth it;
which also beareth fruit, and
bringeth
forth, some an hundredfold,
some sixty, some thirty.
Mark 4:20
And these are they which are
sown on good ground; such as
hear the
word, and receive it, and
bring forth fruit, some
thirtyfold, some
sixty, and some an hundred.
Luke 8:15
But that on the good ground
are they, which in an honest
and good
heart, having heard the word,
keep it, and bring forth fruit
with
patience.
